Important news for the policy of industrialization. The Center for International Development of Harvard University published a rating of the economic "complexity" of countries for 2017. Reminder, that it is one of the most reliable indicators of the real competitiveness of countries and is monitored by our government at the highest level (Strategic Plan 2025).
In summary:
- Kazakhstan maintained its position - 81st place.
- A wakeup call from Uzbekistan - growth from 94th to 86th place, "close runner-up".
- Azerbaijan and Iran have worsened their positions.
- Russia and Ukraine have significantly increased themselves in the rating.
- Belarus took the cake - 29th place.
The closer to Europe, the higher the "complexity".
According to the key document of the government, by 2025 we should "catch up" to the level of Kyrgyzstan and take 55th place. Let's put aside skepticism, the task is really difficult.
We hope that it will be reflected in the third five-year plan of industrialization.
