President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke at the General political debate of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, where he stated the need for an immediate solution to the most acute problems of humanity.

The head of Kazakhstan, in particular, joined the Secretary-General's call for the need to implement a package of measures to stimulate economic growth at a total cost of 10% of world GDP, and also shared his opinion to the fact that the response to the pandemic should be based on a New global agreement

– In the economic part of his speech, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev outlined the most important goal – "creating equal and broader opportunities for all people", – says Kuanysh Zhaikov, partner Of the center for research and consulting. – In fact, this is an appeal to developed countries to help developing countries on a wide range of issues. In my opinion, if there was an opportunity to ask for one thing, it will be much more important to open their markets and transfer production.

Developed countries were once poor, too. They included hunger, poverty, and poor quality of life. But thanks to capitalism, they were able to eradicate most of these evils in a historically short time. And today, if they really want to help developing countries, they need to share this experience with us.

For example, hunger and food security. "Give a hungry man a fish and you will feed him for one day. Give him a fishing rod, teach him how to fish, and you will feed him for life." We will solve the problem of hunger ourselves if citizens have the opportunity to work in competitive enterprises that have large and rich markets.

Or another "social" example – continues Kuanish Zhaikov. – women's right. We have been discussing this important topic for a long time, but until a woman is able to work and earn money like a man, this inequality is ineradicable. And for this, again, we need private enterprises with the motivation to make a profit. In the eyes of the capitalist, men and women are equal – it only matters what value you create for the common cause.

According to Kuanysh Zhaikov, instead of international funds to help poor and developing countries, a more serious tool is needed – to open up their markets and not prevent their capitalists from investing in Kazakhstan.

Thus, the successful development of a market economy in the world will solve many social problems of developing countries.
