Most of the Kazakhstani people do not start a business, but get a job for hire.

There is a low level of entrepreneurial activity in Kazakhstan. Experts of the Center for Research And Consulting made a calculation, dividing the total number of registered companies by the total number of economically active population of the country. The results showed that, for example, in 2018, for every thousand people of the economically active population, there are only 22 private companies in the Republic. In other words, mostly Kazakhstani people do not start a business, but get a job for hire. This indicator is relative and allows to compare business activity with other countries, explained economist Anuar Buranbayev. In Germany, for example, there are 65 companies per 1000 people.
