THE RESULTS OF THE STUDY ON MODERNIZATION IN KAZAKHSTAN WILL BE PRESENTED DURING AN ONLINE BROADCAST ON MAY 6

On May 6, at 15.00, the Institute for World Economy And Politics will present the results of comprehensive analytical research on modernization and system reforms in Kazakhstan.

On behalf of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy, during six months IWEP experts conducted research in the following key areas: human capital and the labor market, a new economic model and growth points, spatial development, public administration, interaction between citizens and the state, and the macroeconomic environment.

Recommendations on the results of this work are aimed at improving the well-being of Kazakhstanis and are presented in the format of five specialized books of a scientific and applicable nature.

It should be noted that methodological support to the study was provided by well-known foreign analysts, including Erik Berglof - Chief Economist of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Pavel Wojciechowski - Director of Whiteshield Partners, former Minister of Finance of Poland, Sergei Guriev - expert at Whiteshield Partners, a former Chief Economist at the EBRD and a Professor at the Paris School of Political Science (Sciences Po); Fadi Farrah - co-founder, Director and Partner at Whiteshield Partners and a senior lecturer at the Harvard School of Public Administratiopn named after Kennedy and others

The next step should be a public discussion, to which researchers, experts working in research centers and the corporate sector both in Kazakhstan and abroad, Atameken NCE, trade unions and associations, social movements and many others who are interested in issues of socio-economic development of Kazakhstan are invited to join.
